Mt. Daedun with an Adventure Korea bus trip

This weekend I went on an Adventure Korea Trip (which is an organization that has bus trips to various places, like hiking, Temple Stays, Skiing, Bungee Jumping etc). We went to a different province a couple hours south of Seoul to Chuncheongdam. The bus trip reminded me of my Contiki Europe tour this summer. It was fun, met some new people. But I went with 4 of my girlfriends, so we had a good time together. The picture above is us crossing the bridge! The best part of the hike!
We started out with a provided lunch, Bibimbap. Which is veggies, rice, egg all mixed together.

Of course, no hike in Korea is complete without Macalee. Which is a rice wine. All the Koreans take up food and macalee to the top and have a little picnic! It doesn't taste real good...but...when in Rome.

We had to take a cable car part way up. Its a REALLY high elevation.

Just a cool one, thought I'd include it in the mix, lol.

Here's Jen, Susie, Wendy, Christine and I. We had to walk 2 bridges to get to the peak!

Read number 3. Gotta love that Macalee!

Going up the bridge...

@ the Peak.

Great day overall! We had excellent weather for it. On the way down, it took about 2.5 hours. It was like 4 seasons! We had snow and ice (slippery and scary!); Mud up to our ankles and then just normal, dry rocks. Good times!
